Project title: Migration: The Challenge of European States

The Department of Political Science and European Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, UCM in Trnava, won the prestigious Jean Monnet Chair as the only faculty in Slovakia in 2016. It belonged to 147 applications from 737 that were supported. The Grant Jean Monnet Chair is a unique, centralized European Union funded education grant project and, as the only one, directly supports and promotes the idea of ​​the European Commission in the field of education.

 

The aim of this grant is to open up the theme "Migration: A Challenge of European States" over formal and informal education for the next three years. You can look forward to interesting workshops, seminars, film clubs, discussions that will break down the individual dimensions of the current topic at the moment. The main aim of the project is to create an authentic space that will serve not only university students, various organizations and institutions of non-profit and other spheres but, above all, the public interested in the subject.

Project title: MY PLACE Democracy and the shadows of totalitarianism and populism: the European experience

The project explores totalitarianism and populism in Europe in relation to the social participation of young people. It is a multidimensional project funded under the 2010 Call for FP7, Social and Human Sciences, Democracy and the Shadows of Totalitarianism and Populism: European Experiences. It brings together a consortium of 16 research institutions from 14 European countries as well as 14 interested public institutions (museums, non-governmental organizations, archive and documentation centers).

Project Title: MY WEB Measuring Youth Well-Being

The project is a follow-up to MYPLACE, with thirteen universities from eleven European countries. The main objective of the project is to complete and evaluate both existing and new data on the main priorities in the field of youth policy and children in the context of the concept of "well-being".

In 2014, the first steps were taken in cooperation with national experts in the field of youth policy, education and training, in public and private institutions involved in research in the context of children and youth policy priorities.
